Picnic in "Media Luna", a small sandbank in the bay of Samana.
We depart from a private pier in Miches with the “motor-catamaran Sonia” and our first stop is in “Media Luna“, a sand shoal in the middle of the Bay of Samana. At low tide we can leave the catamaran and take some drinks on the small sandbank. A large coral reef surrounding “Media Luna“. For those who have always wanted to explore the colorful underwater world we have snorkeling equipment available.

Known for its fantastic beach where the bacardi commercial was filmed, this small island in the Samana Bay is the stuff of legends, apparently linked to bounty hunters and treasure. Here await us a dream beach and a fine lunch in the beach restaurant. The sand is so white and the turquoise waters crystal clear, it is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. After lunch we have some time to swim or relax on the beach.
